CCU Senior Alex Nelson was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after an outstanding performance in the Cougars first season win over Bemidji State.  Nelson totaled 31 points going 13-14 from the free throw line and 4-7 from downtown.  Nelson also led the Cougars in their loss vs William Jewell the night before with 14 points.  Over the weekend, Alex scored 45 points with seven assists, and currently leads the RMAC in scoring averaging 17 points per game.
 
The Cougars were defeated by William Jewell 71-66, but defeated Bemidji State with a fierce second-half surge 72-68.  The Cougs are 1-3 overall with their next game at the Air Force Academy November 29^th at 7:00 PM.
